美剧《黄石》（YELLOWSTONE）金句——第一季第一集

The state of Montana has never gauged its progress by the size of cities.We measure our progress by how those cities impact their people and the land sorrounding them.The land that feeds them,provides their water and nourishes their souls.

以上是第一季第一集通过达顿家族律师养子杰米在公开场合直接宣讲，用我们中学老师的话说这叫开门见山，直接点明主题。
"He just wants to knows his grandson.I guess we could give him that.What do you think?"
他就是想看看他的孙子。我猜想我们可以满足他。你觉得呢？
"You know what I think.But we"ll give it to him anyway. It"ll happen to us too someday.Tate"ll move away,and have a family of his own.And all we"ll get is little fixes."
你知道我的想法。但是不管怎样我们可以满足他。将来我们也会有这么一天。泰特会离开，拥有他自己的家庭。而我们将会遇到各种小麻烦。

以上是达顿家族退役特种兵小儿子凯斯和印第安裔教授老婆莫妮卡的枕边夜话。简单几句对话，像一首诗。
“You will be judged for the actions of your father.If you do nothing,you will be judged for that too.They all will.Maybe it"s best you go home for a while,eh?”
你会因为你父亲的行为被评判。即使你不作为，你还是会被评判。他们全部都会评论你。或许，你最好还是回自己的家一段时间。好吗？

以上是莫妮卡的爷爷，凯斯印第安裔的岳祖父，把凯斯单独叫到一边，和凯斯的一番对话。当时情况是达顿家族和保留地的印第安人之间发生了冲突，作为达顿家族的人，又是印第安人的女婿，凯斯夹在中间，爷爷让凯斯回到自己的阵营里去。
年轻的国家，生活在其上的古老的印第安人，充满了智慧，句句箴言。
